I've owned this, GG Allin's final - and finest - LP since it was first released in 1993, and have never taken it out of my rotation. You know how some records are brilliant and vibrant, and you listen to the hell out of them for a year or so, but then they seem to lose their urgency and just don't hold up? This is definitely NOT one of those discs. I had the fine luck to see GG twice - the last time at the RC Bridge Lounge in New Orleans (with EYEHATEGOD) a month or so before the Geeg took 'his final hellride.' Even without that (literally) riotous last appearance in N.O., this would still hold all the fury, anger, and yes, excellent music and lyrical brutality that was displayed when GG smashed the mike stand into fan Mike IX William's face, causing an enormous battle including the show's promoters (notorious punk-rock thugs The Alcoholic Sluts), a particularly tough six-foot tall German woman tattoo artist, various drunken ticket-holders, and of course the NOPD - a melee which Mr. Allin escaped unharmed into the warm Louisiana night, as magickal as ever. Anyway, there is not a bad track or any filler on this album. The vocals are particularly rough yet clear enough that you'll be singing along to the choruses before your second listening, the musicianship is tight and enjoyable, and I'd say at least 4 songs are positively ANTHEMIC! I purchased this LP because it is pressed on nice Blood and Bone White vinyl - a collector's edition to add to the other copies I own on vinyl and CD (for blasting on drives to the grocery store or the mother-in-law's house). Buy this. Listen to this. Let this soothe the savage beast that broods within. You won't regret a single moment.
