I remember when this album 1st came out in 2005, I was 12 years old and wanted it so badly. Luckily, it came out about a month before my birthday so when my birthday came around and my mom asked me what I wanted I told her that I wanted this album. When I was given this album on my birthday I was extremely happy. I immediately listened to it and I loved it. I played it all day everyday and recited every song word for word. I know that my mom got sick of hearing it all the time. Back then I had the clean version because my mom was very strict about all of the forms of media that I was exposed to growing up. I now have the limited edition of the album that I have wanted since I was a kid. 8 years has passed since this album has been released and I don't feel any different about it than I did as a kid. I still love listening to this album and reciting the songs word for word at 20 years old. Everything about this album is perfect. The beats are top notch and fit Paul Wall perfectly. What I really about Paul Wall is that even though he talks about things that anyone that listens to rap has heard about too many times, He does it much more cleverly than everyone else. Another plus is that he hardly uses profanity. Now I'm all for the freedom of rappers to say what they want in their music but I also feel like too much profanity makes a lot of the things that they may say loose power and value. The only time that you really hear profanity are from the guest appearances, which are also top notch. Another thing that I like about Paul Wall is that his lyrics are easy to understand and that makes the album very enjoyable and fun to listen to. There's not one bad song on here and I can play this album over and over without skipping a track. Every time that I listen to this album it brings back memories of me listening to the album as a kid, this reason alone is why this album will always be my favorite from my childhood.
