I wanted to make a clear cover for my KitchenAid stand mixer, and I needed it to be thick enough to hold its shape, but not so thick that I would be unable to sew it on my sewing machine. I have no idea what gauge it needed to be, so I read the reviews, and someone said they used it for something (can’t remember what!) that led me to believe this would most likely work for me. So I took a chance, and ordered the minimum 2 yards. I’m happy to report that this 12 gauge vinyl is absolutely perfect for what I needed! It’s durable and arrived in excellent condition; no tears, no holes of any kind. My good old Singer sewing machine handled it without any problems (I sewed seam binding/biased tape around all the edges), and my cover turned out exactly how I was hoping it would! The only thing that I have to add is that it comes on a roll that is a few inches shorter than me; I’m 5’4”! I’m grateful that it comes the way it did because that meant it had zero wrinkles or creases, but it did kind of throw me off!! But. no worries; I just propped it into the corner of my craft room behind the door. Problem solved! Of course, now I have a whole bunch of it…….anyone need a cover for their KitchenAid??!! I attached a picture if you’re curious how it turned out!EDIT: I ordered this again and am very upset that it came folded up rather than on a roll, like it did previously. Folding puts creases in vinyl which are very difficult if not impossible to remove. Plus. The lower corner of the crappy envelope they sent it in got scraped in transit, and now there's a hole in the vinyl. I will trying applying heat and hopefully the creases will smooth out, but I shouldn't have to do that. I ordered this because I thought it would again be sent on a roll.
