Like most people who were kid's in the 90's, The Rescuers Down Under was one of my all-time favorite films growing up and I still love it today. As I got older and more interested in film scores I learned about Bruce Broughton and how he scored a TON of my childhood TV shows and movies. This is some of my favorite work of his. I grew up watching this movie, JAG, Silverado, Tombstone, and Tiny Toons so Bruce's work has always been in my ears.I've had this soundtrack for a few days now and I cannot stop listening to it. Not only is his theme amazing (who doesn't want to fly with an giant eagle?) the way he gives color to the film and how creative he is with audio design (does that make sense?) are just mind blowing. For anyone interested in film scores, articulation creativity, and strong thematic composing this is an a must to have.
