First of all, this book contains multiple spelling errors that the editors should correct. One example is "gave" v.s. "gayve." Who gavye it to you? I wonder if the editors had basic word processing software? Furthermore, I wanted to get a handbook with a step-by-step guide for using and navigating FOI laws that I can apply. Instead, I got a book that referenced many other books on the subject without saying much on the subject itself. The book is similar to many FOI requests themselves in that it is too broad. I wish more material were available in the chapters on actually getting requests. I wanted strategies for acquiring public records, aka a handbook," A concise manual or reference book providing specific information or instruction about a subject or place." What I got was a reference book to websites. Why did I buy the book if it tells me to go to the websites to learn? I can't believe this is a $60 book. I was disappointed since the authors did not live up to my expectations. (I am a fan of their work and find it hard to believe they wrote this). I wish I could get a refund or return this, but it is on kindle, and I have not seen an option to do so. Only some of the book's pictures magnify, so you are out of luck if you read on a phone. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I would be more than happy to point out other spelling errors if contacted.
